Data Deletion Instructions

Under the Meta Platform Terms, apps that process Platform Data must (1) delete Platform Data when a User or, for Tech Providers, a Client requests deletion (subject to limited legal exceptions), and (2) explain in a publicly available privacy policy how users can submit deletion requests. This page provides those instructions in one place for Meta App Review, Clients, and Users.

Full details of our practices are in the Privacy Policy (especially Section 10).

• Your wapio user account profile and login identifiers
• Your Client workspace configuration (agents, automations, stored template drafts in wapio)
• Message content and media stored in wapio for your workspace
• Platform Data obtained via Meta APIs that we store in connection with your account
• Website lead / contact form data associated with your email

Deleting data stored by Meta / WhatsApp on their systems must be requested from Meta or by managing your Meta Business / WhatsApp settings. We delete what we store.

Method 1 — Email (recommended)

1. Email hello@wapio.in
2. Use subject line: Data Deletion Request
3. Include your full name, account email, company/workspace name, connected WhatsApp number (if any), and what you want deleted

Method 3 — Phone / WhatsApp at 9061990080 — we will ask you to confirm by email for identity verification.

Method 4 — Meta Apps & Websites: If you connected via Facebook / Meta, you may remove our app and request deletion from your Meta account settings (Settings & Privacy → Settings → Apps and Websites). We will process associated Platform Data when notified.

1. We verify your identity and authority (especially for company workspace deletions)
2. We delete or irreversibly anonymise eligible data, typically within 30 days
3. We send a confirmation email with a confirmation code and status notes
4. We retain only what Indian law or ongoing legal claims require (e.g., tax invoices), and we will tell you if something cannot be deleted

If you are a consumer who received WhatsApp messages from a business using wapio, please contact that business first. They are the controller of your chat. We will assist our Client in deleting data stored in wapio when the Client instructs us or when required by law.
